Hasta la fecha hay más de 28 publicaciones de tipo metanalisis con más de 2.568 pacientes informados que han recibido terapia de células en las articulaciones de rodilla y cadera, desde hace mas de 11 años. Dichas publicaciones demuestran eficacia del tratamiento y de todos reportaron una mejoría en los síntomas y / o la regeneración del cartílago. Los primeros artículos se centran en la médula ósea con los artículos más recientes tienden a centrarse ahora en SVF y el tejido adiposo. Estos estudios van desde el nivel IV a II en el nivel de evidencia.
